The “Bawabat Makkah” Suburb is the first residential development by the "National Housing Authority" in the Holy City. It spans a total area of approximately 5 million square meters and includes more than 8,000 residential units—ranging from villas to townhouses and apartments—to accommodate more than 38,000 residents.

The suburb is strategically located near the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Highway, which connects Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the province of Jeddah, allowing easy access to the Grand Mosque within 30 minutes, making it the first development of its kind within the boundaries of the Grand Mosque, where residents can experience the spirituality of the place and the spaciousness of life.

“Gateway to Mecca” also serves as a new destination for anyone seeking a high quality of life in the Holy City, surrounded by a range of integrated facilities, public services, basic amenities, and recreational facilities, along with an abundance of green spaces, including 38 public parks throughout the neighborhood, which in turn help create spacious environments that promote sustainability. Schools for children are just a few steps from home, and health, cultural, and social centers are distributed throughout the neighborhood.
