The Jazan Region Secretariat, represented by the Abu Arish Governorate Municipality, carried out 137 construction inspection tours last March 137 construction inspection tours within the governorate’s residential neighborhoods and affiliated villages to identify construction violations and ensure compliance with municipal regulations, as part of its efforts to monitor buildings and structures, reduce building violations, and improve the quality of projects.
The mayor of Abu Arish Governorate, Engineer Ahmed bin Abdullah Hakami, explained that during these inspections, field inspection teams issued 13 building violation notices related to construction work. He noted that the number of applications approved building permits totaled 68, while the number of occupancy certificates reached 36.
He noted that the inspection tours are part of the municipality’s efforts to preserve the general appearance of the city and eliminate any violations by regulating and monitoring the execution of construction work on buildings, ensuring compliance with permits issued by the municipality, adherence to all building codes, reducing violations of all kinds, and preserving the urban environment.
