Al-Hogail issues a decision to form a committee to supervise the elections of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority

His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid Al Haqeel, issued a decision to form a committee to supervise the elections of the members of the Board of Directors of Saudi Contractors Authority, in preparation for the start of the electoral process for the membership of the Board of Directors of the Authority for the fourth session (2024-2027 AD), which opens the acceptance of candidacy applications for membership from Monday, 10/20/1445H, corresponding to 2024/4/29 AD, until the end of Sunday, 10/26/1445H, corresponding to 2024/5/5/5 AD.

Conditions and regulations for candidacy

The Authority has set conditions and controls for candidacy that include depositing the nomination application with the Supervisory Committee during the specified period for receiving candidacy applications with a CV attached, provided that the candidate must be an original member of the Authority, and his membership must be valid before the date of the announcement of accepting candidacy applications, and must not be an employee of the Authority, and the candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in the field of contracting.

Not less than 10 years. <The conditions also included that the candidate must be an owner or director of the institution or president or board member of the company or its chief executive officer or one of his deputies or director under an authorization from the institution or company explaining the position and certified by a chamber of commerce, and must hold at least a university degree from a recognized institution in the Kingdom, and must be of good character and behavior, and must not have previously been sentenced to a judicial judgment that violates honor and integrity. The candidate must not have been convicted by a court judgment that violates honor and honesty unless he is rehabilitated, and must provide a commitment to spend part of his time to fulfill the requirements and responsibilities of his membership in the Board of Directors, and must not be related to any other candidate for membership of the Authority, and finally, he must not have previously obtained membership of the Board of Directors in the two cycles preceding the elections.

The Election Supervisory Committee invited contractors who meet the aforementioned conditions and regulations to submit their applications to the committee through the website (muqawil.org).
