The Election Supervisory Committee for the Saudi Contractors Authority the start of the election process for membership on the Authority’s Board of Directors for the fourth term (2024–2027).
The Committee Chair, Engineer Hassan bin Muhammad Zain al-Din, explained that the Committee Overseeing the Elections for Board Members consists of two members from the Ministry, one of whom serves as the committee chair, and two members from the Association’s regular membership. This committee has the following duties and responsibilities: (Establishing the regulatory procedures and timeline for conducting the election process in accordance with the implementing regulations; forming subcommittees and defining their tasks; and preparing minutes documenting the election process until the final results are announced and submitting them to the Minister for approval), The Appeals Committee shall consist of three members to review appeals filed against the final election results, with two members from the Ministry serving on the committee—one of whom shall serve as chair—and one member from the Commission’s regular membership.
He called on Saudi contractors registered with the Authority to participate in the electoral process to elect the members of the Board of Directors for the fourth term—the third to be elected through a vote— Voting will take place electronically following the announcement of the final list of candidates, from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, until 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
It should be noted that the list of candidates and the preliminary list of voters have been announced, and the period for submitting objections to both lists has begun; this period will end on Tuesday, May 14, May 5, 2024, in preparation for the announcement of the final lists of candidates and voters on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. This will be followed by the candidate introduction period, which precedes the two voting days to elect the members of the Board of Directors.
