Emphasizing the importance of thoughtful design as the first step in reducing building costs, Aljamaz noted that poor planning can waste up to 30% of usable space. He emphasized the need to understand the building owner's needs to design a home that meets their actual requirements, while eliminating unnecessary elements.

At the stage of selectingbuilding materials, Aljamaz advised that the designer and the owner should coordinate to choose the right materials according to the budget and usage needs. He called for comparing prices between different suppliers to get the best offers, taking into account quality and long-term durability of the materials.

Here are some additional tips for minimizing construction costs:

  • Choosing a suitable site: The cost of land plays an important role in the total construction cost. Therefore, it is advisable to choose a location that is suitable in terms of cost and easy access to services.
  • Simple design: Avoid complex designs that require expensive materials or difficult execution.
  • Use local materials: Local materials tend to be cheaper than imported materials.
  • Build in phases: If you're on a tight budget, you can break the building process into phases, starting with the basics and adding the finishes later.
  • Hire skilled labor: Hire skilled and experienced workers to avoid mistakes that could lead to additional costs.

Following these tips, you can build a beautiful and comfortable home without breaking your budget.
