Cityscape Global kicks off next Tuesday in Dubai, the premier annual real estate event, which will run for three days with the participation of 300 real estate companies from 30 countries. These companies will showcase projects worth over 3.6 trillion dirhams to investors and industry professionals, with the lion’s share coming from national developers, most notably Emaar, Dubai Holding, Dubai South (Dubai World Central), Meraas Holding, Meydan, Deyaar, Union Properties, Nashama, Damac, Amniyat, and others.
In remarks to *Al-Bayan Al-Iqtisadi*, Fauter Molman, director of the organizing group, predicted that 47,000 visitors and participants would attend the 14th edition of the exhibition, which saw a 30% increase in the number of companies compared to 2014, prompting event organizers to increase the exhibition’s capacity by 30%.
Moolman added that this year’s edition of the exhibition differs from previous ones, particularly in terms of the stronger presence of national real estate companies and their efforts to attract serious investors and end consumers through a diverse portfolio of new development projects. Exhibitors are keeping the details of the projects that will fill the exhibition booths under wraps; they are also not discussing the specifications or prices of their properties, reserving that information until the event begins.
It is noteworthy that all companies recognize that competition has become fiercer and more intense than it was ten years ago, and participants agree that the days of selling a project within hours are over, now that new regulations have curbed speculators and the end user’s opinion has become the deciding factor in companies" results.
The exhibition features specialized conferences attended by more than 1,000 senior figures in the real estate sector, including the “Dubai Market Outlook” conference, which discusses market opportunities and challenges, and “Facilities Management Under the Microscope: Preserving Property Value,” as well as the Cityscape Awards for projects.
