The Ministry of Tourism said that the total spending of tourists arriving in the Kingdom from abroad during the past year 2023 exceeded (141 billion riyals), according to the annual report of tourism statistics for the year 2023 issued by the ministry. According to the annual report, the spending of tourists on shopping during the past year exceeded 25.5 billion riyals, while spending on transportation and transportation reached nearly 21.5 billion riyals, while spending on food and beverages reached nearly (19.4 billion riyals), spending on other purposes exceeded 25.5 billion riyals, and spending on entertainment exceeded (4.0 billion riyals).
The ministry said that the number of tourists coming to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exceeded the amount of (4.0 billion riyals). It is noteworthy that the number of tourists coming to the Kingdom from abroad during the year 2023 exceeded (27 million) tourists and their total spending amounted to more than (141 billion riyals), and the number of local and expatriate tourists during the past year exceeded (109 million) tourists.
