His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inspected the progress of municipal and housing projects in the Northern Border Region overseen by the regional secretariat, and reviewed the latest developments and levels of completion in the projects and development initiatives.
Al-Hogail witnessed the inauguration of a number of residential projects that have been completed, as well as the launch of a series of new and future projects. Additionally, a number of residential units were handed over to Saudi families eligible for developmental housing, and several partnership agreements were signed.
The Minister of Municipalities and Housing also met with the Secretary of the Northern Border Region, Engineer Hisham Al-Awfi, and the secretariat’s leadership and officials to review the most notable achievements and challenges facing development projects, and to review the region’s urban development, housing, and urban sustainability plans, emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to improve the quality of services through the creation and development of infrastructure and the enhancement of the urban landscape to enrich the experience of citizens and visitors.
His Excellency conducted an inspection tour of a number of municipal and housing projects in the city of Arar, including the Prince Abdulmohsen bin Jalawi Bridge, to review the project and future development plans for the area. He also inspected the progress of the Al-Rabwah neighborhood housing project, viewed a model of the residential apartments, visited Al-Burj Park, and participated in the signing ceremony for the Environmental Footprint Initiative agreement (Arar Forests).
During his visit to the Northern Border Region, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing – the first phase of the Ard Al-Haras Housing Project, which provides more than 680 housing units for beneficiaries in the city of Arar. He also reviewed the progress of the Arar Housing Plan project, which includes 288 housing units.
As part of efforts to promote economic development, His Excellency met with a number of investors, businesspeople, and members of the region’s Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, they discussed the investment opportunities offered by the Ministry in the municipal and housing sectors, as part of development programs and initiatives aimed at achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He highlighted the incentives the Ministry offers to investors to stimulate investment and promote urban development in the region.
