Today marked the second consecutive day of the Cityscape Global 2024, for the second consecutive day at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh. The event runs through Thursday, November 14, under the patronage of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, in partnership with the General Real Estate Authority, and the Housing Program—one of the programs under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030—and organized by "Tahaluf," a joint venture between the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, the Events Investment Fund, and Informa Global.
Agreements signed at Cityscape
Building on the strategic agreements and major projects launched at Cityscape yesterday, with a value exceeding 180 billion riyals, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced today multiple projects worth nearly 4.8 billion riyals to provide more than 16,000 housing units in various regions of the Kingdom over the course of the year, The Eastern Province Municipality also announced that it has contracted with SERK and a number of national companies to carry out projects with a total value of 8 billion riyals.
Meanwhile, "NHC" announced that its sales of various residential units exceeded 2 billion riyals on the first day of the exhibition.
The Housing Program, through its pavilion at the exhibition, continues to highlight the major transformation in the housing sector, which reinforces sustainable development and reflects the progress made in this vital sector as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, while highlighting the achievements made, most notably raising the homeownership rate among citizens to more than 63 %, and highlights the global and regional strategic partnerships that pave the way for attracting foreign investment into the Saudi real estate market, thereby strengthening the Kingdom’s position as an investment destination in the Middle East.
Panel Discussions at Cityscape
As for the events and programs of the Cityscape Global exhibition, the panel discussions continued, featuring an international session titled "The Future Is Feminine: How Do We Build a City for Women?" and a panel discussion on financing solutions titled "Financing the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Unlocking Value, Benefits, and Investment Potential Through Web3 Financing," in addition to numerous other sessions.
The exhibition also continues to spur innovations for the city of the future, as the semifinals of the "Innovation Challenge" have concluded, with the participation of more than 60 startups, and competition continues among global innovators from 12 countries at the Roshen Hackathon, in partnership with Al Karaj.
The PropTech stage showcases the latest trends and sustainable practices in urban development, presenting innovative solutions to improve quality of life.
High turnout for Cityscape events
And Cityscape Global 2024, now in its second edition, is drawing a large turnout across the exhibition’s zones and spaces, with the participation of more than 400 entities and the largest international and local investment firms, which are showcasing their residential projects, and offering opportunities to prospective investors, with more than 100 institutional investors in attendance. The international pavilions are drawing visitors" attention with new ideas and innovations from diverse cultures, The exhibition also provides diverse platforms for the exchange of expertise and knowledge among professionals, industry enthusiasts, and investors in the real estate sector, featuring more than 400 speakers and experts from 50 countries.
