Sponsored by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, Cityscape 2024 continues today with its third day of events, the global event hosted by the Kingdom for the second consecutive year under the theme “The Future of Living.“ The event runs for four days at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.

Highlights of the second day of Cityscape

During the second day of Cityscape Exhibition The Al-Jouf Region Municipality showcased more than 300 diverse investment opportunities in the region to participants and visitors of the exhibition, which is considered one of the most important real estate exhibitions globally.

The region’s governor, Engineer Atef Al-Sharaan, emphasized that Cityscape is an important platform for presenting investment opportunities in the region, noting that the Secretariat’s participation reflects its commitment to highlighting the promising opportunities and attractive investment environment in the Al-Jouf region, which is witnessing continuous urban and economic growth thanks to the wise leadership’s attention and the support and follow-up of His Highness the Prince of Al-Jouf and His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities andresidents.

10 million tourists in Asir

His Excellency Engineer Abdullah Al-Jali, Secretary of the Asir Region, explained that the efforts made to develop the Asir Region have succeeded in attracting 1.6 million visitors in 2022, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism. Al-Jali spoke about the Secretariat’s role in preparing the infrastructure to accommodate 10 million tourists in the future, as part of the Kingdom’s ambitious plans to welcome 150 million tourists by 2030, highlighting the road projects and municipal and commercial services that have been completed to meet these growing numbers.

Al-Baha: Promoting Ecotourism

In turn, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawati, Governor of Al-Baha Region, presented a comprehensive overview of efforts to preserve the region’s rural character, leveraging its rich vegetation and pristine natural sites, and emphasizing the importance of promoting eco-tourism, for which Al-Baha is a leading destination. Al-Sawati reviewed strategic projects to increase capacity and infrastructure, including the construction of resorts and seasonal caravans, to meet tourists" desire to enjoy the region’s rural atmosphere and cultural heritage, noting the new medical city project that will serve the Kingdom and the entire region.

Jazan: Supporting Projects and Encouraging Investments

For his part, Engineer Yahya bin Jaber Al-Ghazwani, Secretary of the Jazan Region, participated in the discussion, emphasizing the region’s unique environmental and geographical diversity—spanning coastlines, islands, and mountains—which makes it an attractive destination for tourism investments. Al-Ghazwani highlighted the Secretariat’s efforts to support these projects and encourage investments that promote eco-tourism and stimulate local economic growth, noting the significant support the region receives from the wise leadership and higher authorities.
