His Excellency the Minister of of Municipalities and Housing Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, today inspected a number of projects in the Tabuk region and reviewed the progress of work on projects overseen by the regional secretariat. The visit took place in the presence of the Secretary of the Tabuk Region, Engineer Husam bin Muwaffaq Al-Yusuf, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry and the Secretariat.
At the start of the visit, His Excellency Minister Al-Haqil met with senior officials and heads of municipalities in the region to review the latest developments, He also reviewed the progress and achievements of a number of projects currently underway in Tabuk, emphasizing the need to continue improving the quality of services provided to residents and visitors, in line with the strategic pillars of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.
Al-Haqil Meets with a Number of Investors
Al-Haqil also met with a number of investors and businesspeople in the region, and discussed with them ways to enhance investment opportunities in the municipal and housing sectors, noting the Ministry’s commitment to providing the necessary facilities to stimulate investment in a manner that meets the aspirations of the region’s residents.
His Excellency witnessed the signing of a number of investment contracts in various fields, including health, logistics, housing, entertainment, and education, with a total value exceeding 252 million riyals, These projects are expected to contribute to the creation of direct and indirect job opportunities for the region’s residents, His Excellency also witnessed the handover of 533 new housing units to beneficiaries of the Developmental Housing Program, bringing the total number of units delivered under the program to 2,479.
He inspected a number of development projects in the region, including infrastructure development, road upgrades, traffic flow improvements, and the remediation of visual disturbances, in addition to housing projects, He also visited Prince Fahd bin Sultan Avenue, where storefronts have been redesigned in accordance with an architectural identity inspired by Tabuk’s heritage, making it a vibrant destination for Tabuk residents and visitors.
The Minister of Municipalities and Housing inaugurated a branch of the Real Estate Developers Services Center “Itmam,” which provides integrated government services to beneficiaries in a single location, and met with a number of citizens to gather their opinions and suggestions for improving municipal services.
It is worth noting that His Excellency’s visit to the Tabuk region is part of a series of inspection visits he is conducting in various cities, governorates, and regions of the Kingdom to review the Ministry’s projects, initiatives, and programs in the municipal and housing sectors, and to review the progress of development projects, thereby achieving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
