With the participation of more than 1,000 event industry leaders from 73 countries, the International Exhibition and Conference Summit (IMS24), organized by the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences in Riyadh, the signing of 19 agreements and memoranda of understanding was announced, aimed at reshaping the future of the global exhibitions and conferences sector.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, Fahd bin Abdulmohsen Al-Rashid, revealed that the 10 largest global companies specializing in exhibition organization have opened offices in the Kingdom and launched 12 new events; this reinforces the Kingdom’s position as one of the world’s leading destinations for the exhibitions and conferences sector.
Al-Rashid added that the first day’s activities underscored the sector’s strength as a catalyst for transformation, as it helps highlight the unprecedented opportunities offered by the Kingdom in pursuit of the Vision 2030 goals, These announcements also reinforce the role of exhibitions and conferences in exploring innovative ideas, creating investment opportunities, and fostering new partnerships across various sectors of the economy.
The summit’s events will continue throughout Monday and tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Non-Profit City; sessions featuring 60 speakers will focus on stimulating investment in building the future of the exhibitions and conferences sector, creating innovative and forward-looking event spaces, addressing global sustainability challenges in the sector, and fostering partnerships and the use of innovative technologies.
