Mariyat Trading and Industry Company announced the supply of four date fumigation chambers to the Al-Ahsa Irrigation and Drainage Authority, Engineer Mana Al-Fayyad, Executive Director of Mariyat, made the announcement, explaining that the contract with the Irrigation Authority reflects the trust the company has earned from numerous government sectors due to the modern technology Mariyat provides.
This project is considered one of the most important date sterilization projects using fumigation with ethyl formate gas, which is approved by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Al-Fayyad explained that a single cycle of the chamber has a capacity of 22 metric tons per hour—or, more specifically, 88 metric tons per four-hour cycle—with the chambers operating on a vacuum system, through a smart, automated system that requires no human intervention, to enhance the quality of the dates treated in this manner. He noted that the chambers are hermetically sealed and suitable for the preservation and treatment of all types of fruits and vegetables.
The CEO of “Mariyat” expressed his appreciation to the Al-Ahsa Irrigation and Drainage Authority for the great trust it places in Mariyat and for the ongoing constructive cooperation between the two parties, hoping that the relationship will be further developed to serve the Kingdom’s agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
