It was announced the Medina Region Secretariat Today, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the National Center for Allocation, the Secretariat launched the application phase for pre-qualification for two real estate projects: the “Joint Investment Project for the Railway Land” and the "Joint Investment Project for the Dhu al-Hulayfah Land."

The the Medina Municipality that the projects will be implemented under a public-private partnership model through 30-year build-own-operate-maintain-transfer (BOOT) contracts; with the aim of redefining the concept of urban infrastructure in the Madinah region, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

It noted that the development of the Railway District project, covering an area of 84,657 square meters, includes its conversion into a mixed-use facility, The project is located west of Madinah in a prime location that allows for the construction of buildings up to 20 stories tall and is connected to the main road network.

It stated that the project ensures easy access from all parts of the city and will integrate services with neighboring residential projects developed by the National Housing Company to meet the community’s needs and provide services in light of population growth within a 5-kilometer radius, The project includes a state-of-the-art four-story medical center with a capacity of approximately 200 beds, in addition to outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary medical services.

Located in the Dhu al-Hulayfah neighborhood, the project aims to develop a 30,112-square-meter government-owned plot into a mixed-use facility just 6 kilometers from the Prophet’s Mosque, and is distinguished by its unique location, which combines breathtaking views with proximity to Islamic landmarks, making it an ideal destination for residents and visitors alike.

It was reported that the project includes a four-star hotel that integrates commercial spaces and medical clinics, providing a mix of hospitality and essential services, The pedestrian-friendly commercial spaces also offer a distinctive experience for comfortable shopping, dining, and enjoying recreational activities, in addition to outpatient clinics providing specialized and diagnostic medical services, and parking facilities to ensure easy access to the amenities for visitors.
