Prince Saud bin Talal bin Bandar, Governor of Al-Ahsa, confirmed that the Spanish company IDOM has taken over the implementation of urban planning for the governorate, which is scheduled to continue until 2050 within a comprehensive plan aimed at promoting sustainable development in all sectors.

Prince Saud explained that Urban Planning for Al-Ahsa has made remarkable progress, with 41% of comprehensive plans covering agricultural, commercial and residential sectors. The Prince pointed out that Al-Ahsa Governorate focuses on developing all vital sectors, with special importance given to agricultural, commercial and residential sectors, stressing that the main objective is to improve the quality of life for citizens, within the framework of thoughtful structural planning that includes innovative and stimulating real estate policies.

During the session, His Highness reviewed the most prominent qualitative projects that Al-Ahsa is witnessing within the sustainable urban development strategy on a total area of 363,000 square kilometers until 2050, pointing out that this strategy aims to stimulate investments by improving infrastructure and providing a favorable environment to attract investors in various sectors.

His Highness reviewed the development of the Al-Ahsa Development Project. He touched on the project to develop the historic center of Hofuf, which aims to transform the area into an integrated cultural and tourism center while preserving its historical heritage, stressing that the study of the project, which has a completion rate of 88% with an area of more than 3 million square meters, will contribute to enhancing the tourism and cultural movement and creating new investment and economic opportunities.

In the context of promoting ecotourism. Prince Saud bin Talal stressed at the end of his participation that Al-Ahsa Governorate continues its development journey in a steady pace, thanks to the directives of the wise leadership, pointing out that the qualitative projects in the governorate will contribute to achieving comprehensive development and enhancing its position as a prominent economic and tourism center that supports the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
