<Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) presented its innovative strategic approach to global agricultural nutrient markets during the 34th Agriculture, Water and Agro-industries Exhibition (Saudi Agricultural Exhibition), which was inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture, M. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, on Sunday, October 1, 2015, in Riyadh. The new product is a single fertilizer applied throughout the season to improve palm tree productivity and date crop quality, while minimizing challenges arising from what is known as “successive fruiting”, which results in the tendency for the tree to produce a large crop in one year, followed by below-average yields in the following year.

The company's innovative approach was exemplified at the expo with the introduction of NPK Date Palm Fertilizer. The new product is a single fertilizer applied throughout the season to improve the productivity of palm trees and the quality of the date crop, while minimizing the challenges arising from what is known as “successive fruiting”, which results in the tendency for the tree to produce a large crop in one year, followed by below-average yields in the following year.
