The Saudi Contractors Authority kicked off the 5th International Contracting Conference, under the patronage of Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center. The conference will take place from February 15–16, 2025, in conjunction with the Big5 Saudi, which is expected to attract more than 75,000 visitors.
Now in its fifth edition, the conference serves as a comprehensive platform and an opportunity to network with industry leaders and decision-makers, and is a unique event in the Kingdom’s construction sector, aimed at showcasing the latest technologies and equipment used in urban construction, the contributions of smart cities to improving quality of life, highlighting the concept of sustainability and its impact on the environment, and discussing the latest construction technology practices.
Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, explained that the launch of the fifth edition of the International Construction Conference is inspired by the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, noting that the concept of the conference and exhibition underscores the importance of support and innovation, and brings together everything stakeholders in the construction sector need to implement major projects and realize Vision 2030 programs and initiatives, in partnership with key players and influencers, as well as by drawing on local, regional, and global expertise in this field.
The conference aims to provide an opportunity to explore the latest construction materials and services, as well as studies and case studies related to the sector, to meet with local and international decision-makers, experts, and investors; to discover opportunities and learn about the latest construction technologies; to build relationships; to provide a channel of communication among participants for knowledge transfer and the exchange of expertise; to promote the adoption of sustainable solutions in the construction sector; analyze and clarify the challenges facing the construction sector and how to address and overcome them, and explore current and future opportunities in the sector, while reviewing the latest technologies and innovations and their impact on construction processes; discussing financial solutions and human capital; and highlighting legislation and regulations in the sector.
This conference is part of the Authority’s efforts aimed at organizing and developing the construction industry, build distinctive productive capabilities, find appropriate solutions to the challenges and crises facing contractors in general, encourage innovation, and strengthen communication among all relevant parties in the sector.
