This opening comes as part of the Foundation's efforts to create an innovative and sustainable urban renaissance that connects Riyadh from west to east, enables its residents and visitors to practice various sports and improves the quality of life by promoting sports activities in the community.
The first of the project's first destinations is the Riyadh Sports Park. <The first completed destination of the project starts from the Wadi Hanifa destination west of Riyadh, which extends 13.It includes paths for pedestrians, bicycles and horses, as well as a number of wooded areas and rest stops for cyclists. The Wadi Hanifa destination is connected to the Promenade destination through the Bicycle Bridge, one of the iconic and distinctive facilities of the project, located at the intersection of King Khalid Road and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road. King Khalid Road and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, and contains two independent tracks, one dedicated to pedestrians with a length of 1 km, and another for bicycles with a length of 771 meters, and the bridge aims to promote safe and sustainable mobility, enabling project visitors to move safely and easily from Diriyah to the Promenade destination on Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road.
<The 4 km-long Promenade is designed to meet the standards of the urban code for the sports track derived from the principles of Salmani architecture. The destination includes professional and amateur bicycle tracks, bicycle stops, green spaces and water bodies, various picnic areas, children's playgrounds, a number of sales outlets and specialized centers for renting bicycles and their supplies. The part located at the intersection of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road and Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Road extends 300 meters, and features the Arts Tower, a work of art inspired by the high-pressure electricity towers that were along Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, where it is decorated with colorful geometric panels that are penetrated by sunlight to form a wonderful artistic reflection and a prominent landmark for those who visit the project and its destinations.
The project also includes a number of green spaces and water bodies.
The completed destinations of the project also include the internal (circular) path of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, with a length of 20 km, which includes dedicated bicycle paths and a pedestrian path, and allows movement between the university facilities for its employees and visitors.

Sand Sports Park
<Located southeast of King Khalid International Airport, the fifth completed destination of the first phase of the project, Al Rimal Sports Park features professional and amateur bicycle trails, mountain bike trails, and horse trails. The Sands Sports Park is centered on the Najdiya Rose, which forms the bike paths for professionals, and the bicycle paths extend to more than 45 km, with the rehabilitation of more than 350,000 square meters of sand dunes, and the park contains a number of sales outlets and centers specialized in renting bicycles and accessories. The rest of the phases of the Sand Sports Park will be completed later and will include a number of buildings and sports facilities.<The five destinations will be open to visitors starting tomorrow, Thursday, February 27, 2025.
