The Royal Commission for the City of Makkah and the Holy Sites signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Contractors Authority, in the presence of the Authority’s CEO, Engineer Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rashid, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Mohammed Al-Ajlan, to empower national companies and improve the quality of projects in accordance with approved national standards.
The agreement aims to exchange information and data related to accredited contractors to achieve the objectives of the areas of cooperation, share studies, research, and proposals related to the contracting sector, implement the contractors program run by the Royal Commission on the Muqawil platform, and to coordinate the holding of joint forums, seminars, exhibitions, and workshops.
This initiative aims to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two parties in numerous initiatives that serve the fields of construction, and to help address the challenges facing these sectors and set specific goals aligned with the Contractor Qualification Program, which aims to enhance contractors’ capacity to undertake projects within the city of Makkah.
