The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al Saqr, and the Tunisian Minister of Equipment and Housing Sara Zafarani today supervised the handover of 330 collective housing units funded by Saudi Fund for Development in Ben Arous province, south of Tunis.
The first phase of the project includes the provision of 4715 social housing units funded by SFD. The first phase of the project, which is spread across a number of Tunisian governorates, includes the provision of 4,715 social housing units with soft financing from the Saudi Fund for Development amounting to 150 million dollars.
<In her speech, the Minister of Equipment and Housing expressed thanks and appreciation to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its support and standing by Tunisia in the various stages it is going through. <For his part, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Tunisia congratulated the families benefiting from the project aimed at providing decent housing for Tunisian citizens. <He said: "The handing over of these social houses to citizens of Ben Arous governorate carries a message of the keenness of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to secure housing and health for citizens and the Kingdom stands with everything that would support growth and development in Tunisia and contribute to the housing and health sectors through funds granted through the Saudi Fund for Development."
He explained that the Kingdom's support for the project aims to provide decent housing for Tunisian citizens. He explained that the Kingdom looks forward to the historic relations between the two countries to be reflected in the level of cooperation with the Saudi Fund for Development and also through cooperation between the ministries, bodies and joint committees between the two countries in various fields.
