In a move aimed at streamlining administrative procedures and enhancing transparency in the real estate market, the General Real Estate Authority has announced the availability of a service to revoke real estate advertising licenses electronically for individual and corporate real estate brokers, via the Authority’s e-services platform.

Reasons for revoking a real estate advertising license

The Authority clarified that there are several reasons that may necessitate the cancellation of a license after it has been issued, most notably:

Sale or lease of the property, thereby eliminating the need for the advertisement.
Desire to amend the advertisement details, which requires revoking the current license and issuing a new one.
No longer needing the advertisement after its purpose has been fulfilled.

Steps to cancel an advertisement license electronically

Real estate brokers can now cancel a license real estate listing with ease via the Authority’s online platform, through simple steps that include:

Log in to the real estate brokerage services via the platform.
Selecting the listing to be canceled from the list of active listings.
Selecting “Cancel License” and specifying the reason for cancellation.
Confirming the request to complete the process.
Once these steps are completed, the listing status is updated to “Cancelled,” and the listing’s QR code turns red, indicating that it is no longer valid, while an immediate notification is sent to the real estate broker informing them that the cancellation has been completed.

Enhancing the Efficiency of the Real Estate Market

The General Real Estate Authority confirmed that the launch of this service is part of its ongoing efforts to provide advanced electronic services that support real estate brokers and enhance market efficiency by reducing paperwork, saving time and effort, thereby contributing to greater transparency and improving the quality of services provided in the real estate sector.
