Real estate registry for 23 neighborhoods in Makkah ends next Thursday

The General Real Estate Authority (GRA) announced that the deadline for the first in-kind registration of real estate for (23) neighborhoods in the Makkah region will expire by the end of next Thursday, 13 Ramadan 1446 AH corresponding to March 13, 2025 AD.

<The Authority invited the owners of properties located within the scope of the following neighborhoods: (the new Shamiya neighborhood, part of the new Shabika neighborhood, part of the new Falak neighborhood, part of the new Bab neighborhood, part of the new Qashashiya neighborhood, part of the new Musial neighborhood, part of the new Hegla neighborhood, part of the Tawa neighborhood, part of the Taiba neighborhood, part of the Hamra neighborhood, part of the Al Hamra neighborhood, part of the Yamama, part of Ma'ad neighborhood, part of Al-Jama'a neighborhood, part of Al-Sanabel neighborhood, part of Al-Troyah neighborhood, part of Al-Shari'a neighborhood, part of Al-Maqam neighborhood, part of Wadi Jalil neighborhood, part of Al-Safa neighborhood, part of Al-Mughams neighborhood, parts of Al-Adl neighborhood, parts of Cordoba neighborhood, and parts of Al-Khadra neighborhood) To quickly register their properties through the Land Registry platform www.rer.sa before the end of the registration period to benefit from the services of implementing real estate transactions and documenting all changes that occur in the property.

The Authority explained that Real Estate Registration allows the issuance of a “real estate number” and a title deed for each real estate unit that is registered, and the new title deed includes the exact geographical location of the property, its owner data, descriptions, condition, rights and obligations and all real estate transactions that occur on it, as a basis for documenting ownership and the real estate rights resulting therefrom, which contributes to the sustainability and promotion of the real estate sector and its key enablers.

Real Estate Registration is the first step in the registration process. The Authority emphasized that failure to register properties within the period specified in the announcement decision exposes their owners to the financial penalties stipulated in the Real Estate Registration System, which is determined by a committee specialized in considering violations, and that requests for real estate registration continue in all declared areas even after the expiration of the registration period specified in the announcement decision.

Registration of real estate in kind continues in all declared areas even after the end of the registration period specified in the announcement decision.
