The General Real Estate Authorityannounced that the deadline for the initial in-kind registration of real estate for (19,239) parcels in (26) neighborhoods in the Makkah region, which ended at the close of business yesterday, Thursday.
The Authority called on property owners located within the following neighborhoods: (part of Al-Safwa neighborhood, part of Dar Al-Salam neighborhood, part of Al-Naseem neighborhood, part of Al-Shumaisi neighborhood, part of Al-Tarwiyah neighborhood, part of Al-Rashidiyah neighborhood, part of Al-Kawthar neighborhood, part of the Taybah neighborhood, part of the Ain Shams neighborhood, part of the Al-Hateem neighborhood, part of the Al-Awali neighborhood, part of the Al-Umrah neighborhood, part of the Al-Shuhada neighborhood, part of the Al-Ka’kiya neighborhood, part of the Jabal Al-Nour neighborhood, part of the Al-Jami’ah neighborhood, part of the Al-Diyafa neighborhood, part of the Ahad neighborhood, part of Al-Hamra neighborhood, part of Al-Furqan neighborhood, part of Al-Asalia neighborhood, parts of Wadi Jalil neighborhood, parts of Ja’rana neighborhood, parts of Al-Safa neighborhood, parts of Al-Ghaziyat neighborhood, and parts of Al-Maqam neighborhood), to promptly register their properties through the Real Estate Registry platform (rer.sa) before the registration deadline expires in order to benefit from services for executing real estate transactions and documenting all changes to the property.
The Authority clarified that the Real Estate Registry will issue a “property number” and a title deed for each real estate unit registered, The new title deed will include the property’s precise geographic location, owner information, property descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions involving the property, serving as the basis for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key enablers.
She emphasized that failure to registering real estate within the period specified in the announcement exposes owners to the financial penalties set forth in the Real Estate Registration System, as determined by a committee specialized in reviewing violations, and that applications for real estate registration will continue to be accepted in all designated areas even after the registration deadline specified in the announcement has passed.
It should be noted that the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom using modern technologies and geospatial data through an integrated digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and confidence in real estate services and data.
