Under the patronage of the Minister of Water and Electricity, M. Abdullah Al-Hussein, the 2015 Gulf Electricity Conference and Exhibition “SIGRE Gulf” will be held in Jeddah from November 3-5, hosted by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
The conference aims to develop the electricity industry by presenting the latest international experiences and technologies that will develop and exchange experiences and information in the field of production, transmission and distribution of electrical energy among specialists in the GCC countries. This year, the conference focuses on the use of modern technologies, regional electricity interconnection and the establishment of electricity markets, smart grids and renewable energy, which contribute to raising the reliability and efficiency of the performance of the electrical system, and focuses on rationalizing consumption in electricity in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
