The General Real Estate Authority announced the expiration of the deadline for the first in-kind registration of real estate for 55 neighborhoods, including 15 in Madinah, and 40 neighborhoods in the Qatif Governorate, in addition to 18 real estate parcels in the Harimla Governorate, as of the end of yesterday, Thursday.
The Authority stated that the physical registration of real estate will end in the following neighborhoods in Madinah: (Ain Al-Khayf, Wadi Muzaynab, Al-Taqwa, Al-Hudra, and part of King Fahd, a part of Al-Mahbouba neighborhood, a part of Al-Maba’outh neighborhood, a part of Al-Salamah neighborhood, a part of Al-Difa" neighborhood, a part of Al-Aziziyah neighborhood, Al-Ghadir neighborhood, Al-Duweikhalah neighborhood, Shathah neighborhood, Al-Iman neighborhood, and parts of Jashm neighborhood), while in-person registration ends in the following neighborhoods in the Qatif Governorate (Al-Ruweiha, Al-Kawthar, Al-Badr, Granada, Al-Khaleej, Al-Firdaws, Al-Muntazah, Al-Deira, Al-Aqiq, Al-Bustan, Al-Naqi, Qurtuba, Anka, Al-Salam, Al-Khusab, Al-Naseem, Al-Taf, Al-Ghadir, Al-Mahar, Al-Nour, Al-Bawadi, Al-Nargis, Al-Jumayma Al-Rif, Al-Awamiya, Al-Zara, Al-Thuraya, Al-Safa, Al-Amal, Al-Manar, Al-Arouba, Al-Rabwa, Umm Al-Sahak, Hazm, Al-Marwa, Al-Hazm, Al-Badour, Al-Rehab, Al-Maseef, and Abu Ma’an).
The General Real Estate Authority clarified that in-kind registration of real estate will conclude for 18 parcels in the Harimla Governorate along the old Riyadh–Sudair–Al-Qassim Road, urging property owners within these neighborhoods to promptly register their properties through the Land Registry platform (rer.sa) before the registration period ends, in order to benefit from services related to real estate transactions and to document all changes affecting the property.
The Authority noted that the Real Estate Registry will issue a "property number“ and a title deed for each registered property unit, The new title deed will include the property’s precise geographic location, owner information, property descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions involving the property, serving as the basis for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key drivers.
It emphasized that failure to register real estate within the period specified in the announcement exposes owners to the financial penalties set forth in the Real Estate Registration System, which are determined by a committee specialized in reviewing violations, and that applications for real estate registration will continue to be accepted in all designated areas even after the registration period specified in the announcement expires.
It is worth noting that the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom, using modern technologies and geospatial data through an integrated digital platform, which contributes to enhancing transparency and confidence in real estate services and data.
