Launched by the Taif Municipality, represented by the General Directorate of Media and Corporate Communications, the “Friends of the Neighborhood” initiative, which focuses on establishing a volunteer team to plant trees for beneficiaries of developmental housing units in Taif Governorate and to assess the needs and issues of the units belonging to beneficiaries of Developmental Housing.

The initiative aims to strengthen communication with beneficiaries of Developmental Housing, periodically assessing the needs of the units, involving volunteers in tree planting, promote professional volunteering, raise awareness, encourage individual participation, and foster an understanding of the importance of individual social responsibility in serving one’s community. Engineers and specialists have been involved to support the achievement of its strategy.

The Secretary of Taif Province, Engineer Abdullah bin Khamis Al-Zaidi, affirmed that the Secretariat will support everyone in meeting development requirements in all neighborhoods, noting that this initiative represents a pivotal intersection between community participation and urban development, functioning as a collaborative process in which residents and other stakeholders work together to create a shared vision for the future of their neighborhood.
