The Ejar program of the Public Real Estate Authority (PRA) has launched the “Register a Rental Fact” service, which allows stakeholders to register new rental facts in an easy way through the electronic platform, as part of the program's efforts to enhance transparency and preserve rights between the parties to the contractual relationship.As announced by the “Ejar” platform through an introductory infographic, the Register a Rental Event service includes five basic steps that can be easily completed electronically, as follows:
Log in to the platform, click on the “Rental Signature” option and then select “Register a new rental fact”.
Read the service requirements carefully, then click on “Next”
Fill in the required data, which includes the applicant's information, owner and tenant data, contract duration, unit and property specifications, reasons for notarization (if any), mediation office data, and supporting documents.<After entering the information, click on “Submit” to complete the application
After submitting the application, the result is displayed to the applicant, where the application is accepted or rejected with the reason shown in case of disapproval
Requirements for lessor and tenant:
Ejar explained that if the applicant is the lessor, he must attach the paper contract and title deed.
If the applicant is the tenant, it is sufficient to attach only the paper contract.
This service comes within the objectives of the Housing Program and Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to digitize real estate procedures, raise the level of trust between the parties to the rental process, and facilitate services for citizens and residents.
Requirements for the lessor and tenant.
This step also reinforces the efforts of the General Real Estate Authority in regulating the market and providing an accurate and reliable database of rental contracts and facts, supporting monitoring, analysis and decision-making.
