Real estate developers are invited to develop several sites in Makkah as part of efforts to improve the urban environment

The Royal Commission announces the qualification of developers for strategic sites in Makkah with a total area of 3.7 million m², and the deadline is July 24, 2025.

The Royal Commission for the City of Makkah and the Holy Sites yesterday that it has opened the qualification process for real estate developers wishing to participate in development projects at a number of sites within the city of Makkah, as part of the Developed Neighborhoods Program, which aims to improve the urban environment, enhance quality of life, and address sites that have developed in an unplanned manner.

These sites are among those targeted for development under the “Developed Neighborhoods” program and were selected due to their strategic importance and their connectivity to modern transportation networks, which enhances opportunities for sustainable urban development.

The total area of these sites is approximately 3.7 million square meters, and they are: South Jarham (799,372 m²), Ajyad Al-Masafi (260,403 m²), Ajyad Al-Sadd (183,763 m²), Al-Hajlah (122,522 m²), Al-Khalidiyah (920,933 m²), Western Hindawiyah (841,292 m²), Eastern Hindawiyah (235,610 m²), and Southern Hindawiyah (308,304 m²).

Through this initiative, the Royal Commission seeks to diversify the city’s economy and improve residents’ quality of life by providing a well-organized urban environment and modern infrastructure that supports social stability and offers integrated services contributing to the development of cohesive and sustainable neighborhoods.

The call for bids is part of the Royal Commission’s efforts to enhance the efficiency of urban areas and achieve sustainability principles, in addition to providing quality investment opportunities for the private sector to contribute to the development of the urban landscape and meet the needs of the community.

The Royal Commission has invited all companies and real estate developers wishing to participate to apply through the Real Estate Developer Qualification page on the Commission’s website and to submit a letter of intent via email to: ([email protected]), no later than 29 Muharram 1447 AH, corresponding to July 24, 2025 AD.

The Authority emphasized that the qualification phase represents an initial step within an integrated development process, stressing that all information regarding any future procedures will be officially announced through its authorized channels, and urging everyone to obtain information from official sources.
