The American foreign policy magazine, Foreign Policy, has named the Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defense, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as one of the most influential leaders in the world for 2015.

The list placed the young prince in one of the most important global rankings of the personal influence of world leaders, leaders and politicians. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom, and Mauritian President Amina Gharib. The magazine pointed out that Prince Mohammed had an active and strong role in defending and standing against any threat to the Kingdom and the Middle East region, through his position as defense minister. He oversaw Operation Decisive Storm from its inception to restore legitimacy in Yemen and rid it of the Houthi militia. As for economic affairs, the magazine explained the impact the prince has had on the Saudi economy and his skill in managing the Kingdom's economic relations with the countries of the world.
