In the presence of Deputy Minister of Municipalities and Housing Ehab Al-Hashani, and representatives of participating government and private entities, the seventh edition of the Future Projects Forum, organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority under the theme "Future of the Future»

, kicked off in Riyadh.

The forum is one of the most prominent national platforms that review future projects in various sectors, and aims to enhance transparency and provide opportunities for contractors and investors to build strategic partnerships that contribute to achieving the goals of the 'Saudi Vision 2030".

The forum, which is currently taking place in Riyadh, witnessed the announcement of two new digital platforms, «Artqa» and «Maamar», with the aim of raising the efficiency and organization of the contracting sector. Artqa'a is an integrated digital platform to assess and develop the readiness of contractors, addressing key challenges such as poor adherence to building codes and safety standards, easy access for non-specialists, varying professional competence, and lack of accurate data.

The portal has contributed to facilitating the issuance of licenses, raising the professionalism of the sector, improving the quality of projects, and supporting local content. It covers five main sectors: Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Specialized Construction Activities, Mining Support Services, and Operation and Maintenance, and includes more than 20 certificates of readiness.

Mamar is a unified platform to facilitate the home building journey for Saudi families through clear and transparent digital steps. The platform enables owners to choose a project manager, propose projects, receive contractors» offers, sign contracts electronically, follow up implementation and payment, all the way to the delivery of the project with high quality. It also provides additional services including financing, insurance, and consulting, which enhances transparency and preserves the rights of owners.

During the opening ceremony, Mohammed Al-Ajlan, Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority, said in his speech that "(Saudi Vision 2030) is leading us towards historic transformations in various sectors, and the contracting sector is the executive arm of these giant projects," indicating the importance of the sector's role in enabling all fields and future projects.

Participants on the second day of the Future Projects Forum agreed that the forum represents a unique national platform to showcase upcoming government and private projects and expand the horizons of cooperation between contractors and investors, which contributes to enhancing the contribution of the contracting sector to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
