Hail Municipality «Awards as a tool for organizational excellence»

Dr. Moens Shujaa

The Municipality of Hail, one of the government agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, recently published a study on the impact of institutional awards on the health of the organizational work environment and organizational culture, where the Municipality achieved a score of 84.01% on the OHBI scale, which measures the health of the business environment based on the needs of the employee, the organization and its strategy!

<It is measured through seven core levels: awareness, relationships, recognition, communication, inclusion, employee personality, and organizational culture. Culture is at the top of the pyramid and is transmitted through leaders to all employees. Awareness is the base of the pyramid and this index was published by the European Association of Corporate Psychology (EAWOP)

A healthy business environment is one of the most important strategies for leaders of enterprises, whether governmental or private, and a healthy business environment is defined as those environments with an organizational culture in which employees feel valued, safe and supported through five axes: awareness, appreciation, employee relations, effective communication and integration.

Hail Municipality has won many prestigious awards at the local and international levels, and the study showed that the impact of these awards had a great impact in terms of enhancing loyalty and belonging to their workplace, raising morale, supporting innovation of solutions and work methods, and developing their abilities to adhere to quality standards, governance, and organizational excellence.

Perhaps the main conclusion of this study shows us the importance of awards as a strategic tool to build a stimulating, innovative and attractive work environment. Awards lead to strengthening the organizational culture by adhering to the standards and requirements to obtain these awards, which directly reflects on the work environment and then on the quality of the services provided.
