Preparations have been completed for the launch of the 2015 Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Forum, organized by the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region and Chairman of the Region’s Tourism Development Council, from 9–14 Jumada al-Akhira 1436 AH, corresponding to March 29–April 3, 2015, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, where leaders of the tourism sector from the Kingdom and around the world will gather.
Various events will be held on the sidelines of the forum, including lectures, courses, and scientific workshops to discuss topics of interest to the Kingdom’s tourism industry, led by local and international experts and specialists. It will also feature several side events, such as the Tourism Excellence Awards ceremony, accompanying tour programs, and a hospitality program for businesspeople working in the tourism industry from the Arab Gulf states, in addition to other activities aimed at fostering effective networking and interaction.
The forum is accompanied by a massive exhibition covering an area of more than 15,000 square meters, which attracts broad local and international participation covering various activities, services, and products. It also provides an opportunity to promote local tourism, showcase investment opportunities in the local tourism sector, highlight the operational experiences of tourism facilities, and share success stories in local tourism. A section of the exhibition is also dedicated to sessions discussing the sector’s challenges and obstacles, as well as ways to develop it and its role in economic growth.
