<Three major companies in Riyadh and three others in Jeddah have informally finalized a preliminary agreement to form a consortium to win the stadiums, while consultations are still ongoing in the Eastern Province between several companies to form a trio to be announced in the coming days.
<Abdul Hakim Al-Omar, head of the contracting committee at the Eastern Chamber, told Al-Eqtisadiya: “Six entities have formed a consortium through which they merged companies in Riyadh and the western region to win their share of the King's stadium project, which is supervised by Saudi Aramco. He added: ”The conglomerates, represented by major companies in the contracting sector in the three main regions, seek to benefit from the huge stadium project.“

Continuous meetings between 130 companies in the past two weeks have resulted in two consortiums of six companies in the western and central regions that will compete for the 11 King Abdullah stadiums to be built in several cities.
