The Ministry of Transport is making great efforts to lay the infrastructure for transport and communication projects in various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He explained that these projects are part of the projects approved in this year's budget, which were launched as soon as the budget was issued, in line with the ministry's method of offering approved projects for competition and implementation in the same year in which they are approved, and the contracts for the rest of the projects approved for this year will be signed successively, raising thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Deputy Crown Prince for the support and care received by the transportation sector, praying to God to keep this country its leadership, security and safety.

The contracts included the Jeddah-Makkah direct highway with a length of 25 kilometers at a cost of 378 million, and the ninth group includes complementary works for the Jeddah ring road, raising the level of the Jeddah-Jazan coastal road with the construction of a valley bridge (3.5) kilometers at a cost of 190 million, as well as the completion of some roads including Aqabat Al-Safiha Road and King Saud Road to Taif-Baha Road with a length of (17) kilometers at a cost of over 18 million, and the study and design of Al-Akhal-Taif road with a length of 200 km at a cost of 8.4 million riyals.


Projects in major cities
The contracts included Medina through the duplication of the old Medina-Qassim road (Al-Aqoul Road) with lighting and intersection (second phase) with a length (16 kilometers) at a cost of 89.8 million, as well as repairing the current path of the Tabuk-Medina road with a length (20) kilometers at a cost of 33.2 million, and the construction and expansion of the central workshop at a cost of 2.9 million.
At the level of Riyadh, the contracts signed included the repair of the current route of the Shaqra-Dawadmi-Afif road (second phase) with a length of (88.8) at a cost of more than 108 million, the duplication of the Al-Quwaiyah-Rain-Al-Harig road (second phase) with a length (20) at a cost of 60 million, in addition to the operation and maintenance of the information and communication technology system in the Ministry and its branches and offices at a cost of 56.8 million, and complementary works for Al-Ha'ir - Hawta Bani Tamim road (intersection) at a cost of 48.6 million riyals.


It also included the supply and renewal of licenses for systems and programs for the service routing architecture, electronic services, databases, virtualization systems and backup systems at a cost of 25.4 million, the study and design of the extension of the Riyadh-Dammam road from its intersection with the Dammam-Dhahran highway to King Abdullah Road with a length of (6) km at a cost of 1.5 million, and the cleaning of the relay building at the Ministry at a cost of 370 million.

Eastern Region
The contracts for projects in the Eastern Province included the tenth group of the Al-Ahsa ring road (northwest rib) 22 km, the intersection of the entrance to the village of Al-Waziya in Al-Ahsa with the Hofuf-Baqiq road, the doubling of the Hofuf-Aqeer road (60 km), the completion of the fence of the Hofuf-Salwa-Butha road (200 km) with a length of (282) at a cost of more than 263 million.8 million, as well as the completion of some roads (Group XXI), including the completion of the Shaybah-Batha road (asphalt shoulders) 187 km, the completion of modifying the transverse slopes of asphalt for the Batha-Haradh road (39 km) at a cost of 85 million, and the completion of improving the Dammam-Khobar coastal road with intersection and lighting (Phase III) at a cost of 81 million.


Qassim Region
In the Qassim region, the projects included the completion of some roads in the 22nd group, including the completion of the duplication of Al-Madhanib - Umm Hazm - Al-Ghat road (9 km), the completion of Al-Mudawiyah Farms road (2 km), an intersection on Unaiza internal transformer, and the intersection of Al-Jada road with Unaiza - Airport road at a cost of more than 106 million, and the upgrading of the Buraidah-Asiyah road (phase III) at a cost of more than 106 million Buraydah Al-Asiyah Road (Phase II) (concrete barriers - adding a path - service road - fencing with a length of (12) kilometers at a value of (30 million), as well as completions of some roads Group XXIII includes university links (8) km, completion of Aba Al-Warud Farms Road (8) km, and completion of Al-Bateen-Hanizal Al-Asiyah Road (7) km,5) kilometers worth more than 26 million riyals.

Asir Region
At the level of the Asir region, the projects included the completion of some roads (Group XXI), including: Completion of Abhaa-Souda road (first phase) 15 km, completion of Halali Mah Sakar road with Al-Shayef link 26 km, completion of Airport-Fara'a road (University link) 3,5 km at a cost of 167 million, the duplication of Khamis Mushait - Bishah road (Phase III) with a length of (50) km amounting to 103 million, and the completion of some roads “Group XXVII“ includes the completion of Raqaa - Sadr - Wadi Nat'a - Rum - Aqabat Al-Ahmal road with a length of (20) km, and the completion of Thouth - Rim - Akna - Al-Najdin - Wadi Rum - Magic (first phase) with a length of (15) km worth 60 million.
Tabuk Region
As for the Tabuk region, the third group of contracts included the intersection of the first ring with the armored road and the completion of the first phase of the doubling of the Tabuk-Sharma road with the intersection with a length of (30) kilometers at a cost of 174.7 million, as well as the Tayma-Al-Ula road (the part located in the Tabuk region) (second phase) with a length of (20) kilometers at a cost of 42.2 million, completing the duplication of the Tabuk-Haql road (Bir Hermas - Al Sharaf) (Phase II) with a length of (20) kilometers at a cost of 41.8 million, in addition to repairing the current path of the Qulaybah-Abu Ajram road (part of the Tabuk region) (Phase II) with a length of (10) kilometers at a cost of 17.6 million riyals.

Hail Region
At the level of the Hail region, the contracts for the third group of projects included the Hail-Zubaira-Hafr Al-Batin-Ras Al-Khair road (part of the Hail region) (Phase IV) 45 km and the doubling of the Hail-Rafha road (part of the Hail region) (Phase I) 30 km at a cost of 294.7 million, as well as the completion of the direct Hail-Medina road with a length of (37) kilometers at a cost of 130 million, in addition to the fourth group, which includes the double Umm Al-Qalban road (6) kilometers and the complementary works of the Qassim-Hail-Jouf highway (Al-Kahfa intersection), the completion of Areeja road with a length of (9) kilometers and Al-Hanou road (20) kilometers at a cost of 82 million, the intersection of the plans of Al-Suwaifa and Al-Mamlaka on the northern ring road and the completion of Al-Naqra intersection (tunnel) worth 171.8 million SR.

Najran region
As for the Jazan region, its projects included two intersections on the Al-Tawal - Jazan - Al-Darb - Al-Shuqaiq road at a cost of 89.9 million, and the completion of some roads (Group XVI), including the completion of the Al Muhammad tribal road (4.5 km), the completion of Aqabat Al Salalah road in Al Taraf center (1.5 km), the completion of Al Saeed - Ashran road worth 55.2 million, as well as the Lahjah Al Sawda Halawa (Phase III) with bridges (14) km long, worth 40.8 million riyals.
