<The Saudi International Exhibition for Food, Beverage and Hospitality (HORECA Saudi Arabia 2013) concluded its three-day activities at the Riyadh International Convention Center, amidst a large public attendance, which included the conclusion of the triple kitchen competition (culinary skills demonstration salon) sponsored by Oztey, which included (16) events and the participation of 145 chefs working in the finest hotels and restaurants in the Kingdom and abroad. It included (16) events in which (145) chefs working in the finest hotels and restaurants in the Kingdom and abroad participated and won (48) chefs at the rate of three medals (gold, silver and bronze) for each competition in addition to company shields and certificates certified by the arbitration committee consisting of international chefs and the organizing company.The culinary competition that was held in front of the visitors included the preparation of several types of breakfast bread and a number of types of appetizers and small sandwiches, as well as cold dishes of fish, meat and chicken, a six-course meal (lunch) of meat, chicken or fish and the Saudi dish in addition to the Arabic sweet and sweet (cake) of one layer, as well as the dessert (cake) of weddings from three layers and fruit carving, all of which are prepared in front of visitors and depend on the method of dishes on the chef in preparation, presentation, shape and taste.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Internal Trade Abdulaziz bin Ali Al Aqeel had inaugurated on behalf of the Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabeeah at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center the launch ceremony of the Saudi International Food, Beverage and Hospitality Exhibition “HORECA Saudi Arabia 2013”
The exhibition received wide interest from companies interested in the aspect of food, beverages and hospitality, in addition to those interested in cooking affairs, in addition to many events dedicated to the visitors of the exhibition, most notably the culinary skills showcase salon, the culinary salon, which is considered one of the most important chef competitions in the presence of elite international chefs as the jury of this competition, which consists of six members: Joe Barza from Lebanon, Karim Bourgui from France, Alexis Kokola from Lebanon, from Australia, Tariq Ibrahim, Saman Helal from Kuwait and Thomas Gugler.
Alkil inaugurated the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
