Red Sea International announced the official opening of its luxury tourism destination, “Amaala,” on the northwest coast of Saudi Arabia, during the inaugural summit of the “TOURISM” exhibition in Riyadh. "Amaala" is preparing to welcome its first guests in the near future.
Details of the opening of “Amala”
In a statement issued by the company, Red Sea International affirmed its leadership in creating exceptional tourist destinations that contribute to enhancing the diversification of the national economy and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a rising power in the luxury tourism sector globally.
The first phase of "Amala" includes 6 world-class resorts, including a 5-kilometer coastal promenade, and the luxury resorts and hotels that will be part of this destination, such as the “Equinox Amala” resort with 128 rooms and 29 residences, and the “Four Seasons Amala” resort consisting of 202 accommodation units and 25 residences with private beaches and a dedicated children’s area.

The destination also includes the Namous Amala resort, which comprises 110 rooms and 20 apartments, along with a range of exceptional restaurants, as well as the Rosewood Amala resort, which consists of 110 luxurious rooms and suites.
The first phase of the project will also see the opening of the Amala Hotel, owned and operated by Red Sea International. Located in the staff village, the hotel will feature 144 rooms.
The destination also plans to host major events such as the grand final of the Ocean Race 2027, in addition to opening the Amala Yacht Club, which includes a sailing academy in partnership with the Monaco Yacht Club.
”Amaala” is a massive project requiring an investment of SAR 51.04 billion to develop the first phase, which, when completed, will include 8 resorts containing approximately 1,600 hotel and residential units. This project reflects “Amaala’s” commitment to developing a sustainable tourism destination, as it aims to achieve a net environmental benefit of 30% by 2040.
“Amaala” will be globally connected through the “Red Sea International Airport”, which receives direct flights from cities such as Doha, Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh, with plans to connect the destination to Europe soon.
Red Sea International will also reopen Al Wajh Airport in 2026, enhancing accessibility to this luxury destination.
