The Riyadh kicked off the Tourism Forum yesterday, which runs until Thursday, November 13, with the participation of tourism leaders, investors and decision makers from around the world.

The Forum has catalyzed $113 billion worth of investment to grow the global tourism industry, accelerate its transformation, and sustain its prosperity over the coming decades.

The Forum embodies the vision of the TURAISE Forum. The Forum's vision is to unleash the flow of quality deals and major investments in the tourism sector by uniting public and private sector efforts in the areas of technology, investment and sustainability to develop innovative and viable solutions that enable the sector to face future challenges confidently and efficiently.

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Tourism emphasized the importance of the Forum's role as a catalyst for investment in the tourism sector. Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib, Saudi Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Forum's Board of Directors, emphasized that the Forum has succeeded in becoming a global platform that brings together investors, policymakers and innovators under one roof, adding that the Forum “transformed ambitious visions into strategic partnerships and impactful deals that push the tourism sector towards new horizons of growth and innovation.”

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Forum's Board of Directors, Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib, said. The minister added that through the forum, the Kingdom is “reshaping the future of the travel economy based on the power of artificial intelligence, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of tourism experiences, sustaining growth and creating quality opportunities within the integrated tourism ecosystem.”

The forum witnessed the announcement of a number of announcements. The forum witnessed a number of major international and local companies announcing their new investment portfolios. These investments represent an important step towards developing tourism infrastructure and developing human competencies, as well as integrating modern technologies in the fields of design, hospitality and data collection, in order to strengthen the Kingdom's position as a global destination that combines heritage and innovation, and makes it a pivotal center for sustainable tourism globally.
