According to the presentation seen by the Prince of Makkah, the project, whose total cost is estimated at 62 billion riyals, will be implemented in several phases, the first phase of which will cost 25.5 billion riyals, while the second phase will cost 19 billion riyals, and 17.5 billion riyals for the last phase, and includes a network of trains consisting of four lines with a total length of 114 kilometers. The presentation explained that the latest stages of work reached by the project focused on surveying and expropriation works for the public transport project. In this regard, the design of train tracks above the central island of roads to reduce the areas of expropriation has been completed, and the design of the entire expropriation boundaries for trains and buses has been completed, in addition to completing the numbering of all properties to be expropriated for the project.
Providing job opportunities for citizens
