This coming November, the Saudi capital, Riyadh, is set to become the global capital of the tourism industry as it hosts the 26th session of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly, coinciding with the launch of the first edition of the “Tourize” Forum.
Riyadh will host decision-makers, investors, and thought leaders from more than 160 countries at two consecutive events that will cement the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for shaping the future of tourism, which underscores the Kingdom’s ability to organize unprecedented global events and serves as a platform that combines authentic Saudi hospitality with an ambitious vision for the future.
The 26th session of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly will be held from November 7 to 11, 2025, with the participation of official delegations from member states, The event will feature a series of sessions and specialized committees addressing digital transformation, sustainability, tourism competitiveness, and global statistics.
In addition, a plenary session titled “AI-Powered Tourism: Redefining the Future” will be held. The election of the organization’s new Secretary-General will also take place during the closing session, where the forum will focus on investment in tourism, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and innovation.
