The value of loans granted by Saudi banks and banks to the two sectors (government and private) by the end of last January amounted to 1509 billion riyals, and reports issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency indicated that the share of the private sector reached about 1384 billion riyals by the end of January 2016, an increase of 9%, compared to the same period last year, which then amounted to 1268 billion riyals. Loans granted to the government sector amounted to about 124.7 billion riyals, an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year.
