Tourism Authority prepares to establish a number of hotel and tourism projects

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) has submitted five hotel projects ready for financing to the Ministry of Finance . as part of the lending program for hotel and tourism projects recently approved by the state. These are four- and five-star hotels in Najran, Jazan, Al-Kharj, Tabuk and Al-Khobar, with construction costs of more than 266 million riyals, while financing loans are estimated at more than 133 million riyals, as these projects represent the first projects benefiting from the new system.

This was explained by Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Smail, Vice President for Tourism Investment and Development at the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, noting that it was agreed between the Authority and the Ministry of Finance that the Authority will receive loan applications from investors, in addition to asking the Ministry to direct all new loan applications to apply through the Authority in accordance with the procedure agreed upon with the Ministry.

In other areas of financing, Al-Ssmail mentioned that a number of memorandums of cooperation have been signed with a number of funds and funding bodies to provide financial and technical support to small and medium enterprises, namely the Saudi Credit and Savings Bank, the Centennial Fund, the Council of Saudi Chambers, the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (Kafala program), the Human Resources Development Fund, the Agricultural Development Fund, indicating that 486 small and medium projects worth more than 270 million riyals have been funded so far through these funds and bodies with support from the Authority.
