In partnership with the private sector, the Ministry of Housing launches 4 new projects in Riyadh, Taif, Khobar and Makkah

The Ministry of Housing has continued its efforts to provide a variety of housing options, with the “Sakani” program announcing the launch of four new housing projects in partnership with the private sector, comprising a total of 6,499 housing units “under construction.” These projects offer a variety of models to meet the diverse preferences and tastes of beneficiaries, including villas, townhouses, and apartments in various sizes and designs, located in Riyadh, Al-Khobar, Taif, and Rabigh.

The “Mursiya” project in Riyadh

The Ministry clarified in a press release today that the “Mursiya” project on Ministry-owned land north of Riyadh, covering an area exceeding 2.7 million square meters. The project is a residential complex with integrated services and facilities, providing 5,590 housing units ranging from villas to apartments, with various sizes and designs, with construction areas exceeding 320 square meters for the 5,018 villas, priced starting at 649,000 riyals, and 190 square meters for the apartments, priced starting at 299,000 riyals. The project also includes a number of mosques, parks, and green spaces, in addition to allocating approximately 30 sites for schools at all levels, healthcare facilities, and multiple commercial centers.

The “Al-Fath” Project in Taif

The Ministry announced the launch of the “Al-Fath” project in Taif Province, which spans an area exceeding 100,000 square meters and offers 488 residential units, including 477 apartments and 11 villas, with apartment sizes reaching 306 square meters and prices starting at 360,000 riyals.

The “Al-Shurooq” Project in Al-Khobar

The list of projects includes the “Al-Shorouq” project in Al-Khobar Governorate in the Eastern Region, which offers 188 apartments with areas up to 194 square meters, and prices starting at 460,000 riyals.

Rabigh, in the Makkah region, is home to the “Al-Shurooq” project in partnership with King Abdullah Economic City, offering 233 ready-to-move-in residential units with an area of 160 square meters and prices starting at 458,000 riyals. It features integrated infrastructure, all service facilities, and green spaces.

Allocation of more than 182 housing options in 2018

The Ministry of Housing announced the launch of the “Sakani” program early last year in 2017 During the first phase, 282,000 housing and financing options were allocated, and at the beginning of this year, the Ministry announced the target for the second phase of the program, which is to allocate 300,000 housing and financing options. and in the middle of this month, the eighth batch of the program was announced, allocating more than 28,000 housing and financing options distributed across various regions of the Kingdom, bringing the total allocated in 2018 to more than 182,000, distributed among housing units under construction, free land, and subsidized mortgages, achieving approximately 60 percent of the program’s 2018 target. These consist of 66,400 subsidized mortgages, 52,011 free residential plots, 2,584 ready-to-move-in housing units, and 61,406 housing units under construction. The Ministry, through the “Sakani” program, has also launched numerous projects for housing units under construction across several cities in the Kingdom, in addition to the ongoing handover of the Ministry’s ready-to-move-in housing units in several cities and provinces across the Kingdom, such as Al-Qunfudhah, Bish, Samtah, Thadig, Arar, Al-Ayina, Al-Khobar, and Al-Mubarraz..
