The Jeddah Tower project has made new progress in construction work, after its height exceeded 482 meters with the completion of the 120th floor, in a step that brings the project closer to reaching a height of half a kilometer before the end of 2026, according to what was announced by Kingdom Holding Company.

The company explained, in its statement regarding the financial results, that the pace of work on the Jeddah Tower project witnessed progress at the level of construction work, as the quantities of concrete poured exceeded 322 thousand cubic meters, which is equivalent to 72% of the total quantities planned to be used in the implementation of the tower.

Regarding the exterior facade works, the company indicated the completion of the installation of more than 3900 panels, representing about 14% of the total panels allocated to cover the tower facades, in conjunction with the continuation of preparations for the installation of mechanical, electrical and sanitary systems inside the building.

The project site also witnessed the start of preparatory and executive work for the steel structures of the “Sky Terrace” area, after the subcontractor specializing in steel works began his tasks on site, within the stages of completing the architectural and structural components of the project.

For his part, Talal Ibrahim Al-Maiman, CEO of Kingdom Holding Company, expressed his expectation that the tower would reach a height of about 500 meters before the end of this year, stressing that the progress made in construction work reinforces positive expectations regarding the future of Jeddah Economic Company and its long-term growth prospects.

The implementation steps to complete the project date back to January 2025, when Kingdom Holding Company announced the resumption of construction work on the tower and the official start of concrete pouring operations, after a period of suspension.

Jeddah Economic Company, an affiliate of Kingdom Holding, had signed an agreement in October 2024 with the Saudi Binladin Group to complete construction work on the project, which aims to exceed the 1,000-meter mark in height, to become the tallest tower in the world upon completion.

The total value of the contract signed to complete the project is approximately 7.2 billion riyals, while approximately 1.1 billion riyals of the contract value has already been paid for the construction work that was previously carried out. The agreement stipulated an implementation period of 42 months.

Regarding the project's timeline, Al-Maiman expects the Jeddah Tower to be fully completed by 2028, and upon completion, it will be a prominent architectural landmark in the city of Jeddah.
