His Excellency the Minister of Information, Mr. Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari, witnessed on Wednesday evening the closing ceremony of the Saudi Media Forum in its fifth edition, which was held under the theme “Media in a Shaping World” and the accompanying Future Media Exhibition “FOMEX”, and announced the winners of the Forum's award tracks, in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies, media professionals from inside and outside the Kingdom.

He explained that the forum witnessed the participation of about 300 speakers from different countries of the world, and a wide attendance that contributed to enriching the discussions and turning the event into an exceptional media carnival, stressing the forum's endeavor to transform from a seasonal event to a sustainable institutional work through qualitative initiatives, most notably the “Media Innovation Center”, the “Growth” initiative to support media entrepreneurs, the “Media Ambassadors” initiative to discover and enable the talents of university students, and the “Light” initiative that brings the forum experience to different regions of the Kingdom. <The Forum Chairman pointed out that the Future of Media Exhibition achieved wide global participation, with more than 250 companies participating in it that showcased the latest content creation technologies, stressing that media today is a partner in development, awareness creation and an engine for change, under the support of the wise leadership and the follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Information.

Al Harthy praised the efforts of strategic partners, sponsors, team and attendees, thanking everyone who contributed, participated and attended the Forum.

Then it was announced that the Saudi Media Forum set a world record, after the number of visitors reached 65,603, culminating in obtaining a certificate from the Guinness Book of Records, an achievement that reflects the growing status of the Forum on the map of international media events.

During the closing ceremony, he announced the winners of the Forum Award in its fifth session in its various tracks, which comes in line with the Forum's commitment to support and stimulate media creativity, where the winner of the reporting track was Khaled Al Badr, and in the dialogue track won the award Abdulhadi Habtoor, while the academic research track was won by Lama Al Sahli.<In the Audiovisual Media category, the winner of the Artificial Intelligence Generated Media Content Award was announced. The Social Talk Show Track was won by Rashid Shaw from the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Podcasts and Talk Radio Programs Track was won by the Ministry of Culture for the program “Podcasts 1949”. The best media work on National Day was won by the Tourism Development Fund for the work “What have you heard about Saudi Arabia?”, and the best work on Foundation Day was won by the Ministry of Defense for the film “Al Awja”.
His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Diwan, General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, won the Global Competitor Award, while the columnist award was won by Dr. Mohammed Al-Rumaihi. In the best media work for Flag Day, the Vision 2030 account won the award.

Then, the Media Personality of the Year was announced, which was awarded to Dr. Hussein Najjar, in honor of his media career. At the end of the ceremony, commemorative photos were taken of the winners with HE Minister of Information Mr. Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari, after which HE honored the partners and sponsors.
