The the General Real Estate Authority that the deadline set for the initial real estate registration of (27) real estate parcels in (9) neighborhoods in the regions of Makkah and Madinah, which ends on Thursday, 28 Shawwal 1447 AH, corresponding to April 16, 2026 AD.

Names of the beneficiary neighborhoods
and «the Authority» stated that the physical registration of real estate will end in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, in the Jeddah Governorate, for the following neighborhoods: (part of Al-Taawon neighborhood, part of Al-Tadamon neighborhood, part of Al-Bashair neighborhood, part of Al-Sina’iya neighborhood, part of Al-Khamra neighborhood, part of Al-Wadi neighborhood), as well as (part of Ajyad neighborhood) in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. Registration will also end in the following neighborhoods in Madinah: (part of Al-Haram Al-Sharif neighborhood and part of Al-Jassa neighborhood).

The Authority called on property owners located within these neighborhoods to promptly register their properties through the Land Registry platform (rer.sa) before the registration deadline expires, in order to benefit from services related to real estate transactions and the documentation of all changes affecting the property.
It clarified that the Real Estate Registry will issue a “property number” and a title deed for each registered property unit. The new title deed will include the property’s precise geographic location, owner information, property descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions affecting it; serving as the basis for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key drivers.

The Authority emphasized that failure to register real estate within the period specified in the announcement exposes owners to the financial penalties set forth in the Real Estate Registration System, as determined by a committee specialized in reviewing violations, and that applications for real estate registration will continue to be accepted in all designated areas even after the registration period specified in the announcement has ended.

It should be noted that the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom using modern technologies and geospatial data through an integrated digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and confidence in real estate services and data.
