Ministry of Municipalities and Housing represented by the Holy Capital Municipality announced the success of its operational plan for the 1447 Hajj season, which was implemented through an integrated field system to serve the pilgrims in Mecca and the holy sites, supported by more than 22 thousand human cadres and 3 thousand equipment and mechanisms that worked around the clock throughout the Hajj season.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Rasasmeh, spokesperson for the ministry, explained that the cleaning and environmental sanitation work resulted in the removal of more than 250,000 tons of waste in Makkah since 15 Dhu Al-Qa'dah, with a daily average of more than 6,000 tons, in addition to removing more than 16,000 tons of waste and waste in the holy sites during the Hajj season, with a daily average of more than 200 tons, through an operational system supported by more than 88,000 cleaning units, including containers, compression units and ground warehouses.<He pointed out that the specialized teams carried out more than 38,000 monitoring visits to food kitchens and food establishments in Makkah and the holy sites, in addition to testing more than 5,000 food samples through field and stationary laboratories, while no cases of food poisoning were recorded - thank God - during the Hajj season 1447 AH. He stressed that the season witnessed the participation of more than 21,000 male and female volunteers who contributed to supporting the field, organizational and awareness services provided to pilgrims, through guidance, distribution of water, umbrellas and awareness gifts, in order to enhance the quality of services provided to the pilgrims.Rasasmeh praised the results achieved during the season, stressing that this comes as a continuation of the great support given by the wise leadership - may Allah support them - to serve the pilgrims, harnessing all human, operational and technical capabilities to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility, and raising the efficiency of municipal services provided in Makkah and the holy sites.
