Real Estate Development Sector Attracts 28.5 Billion Riyals in Liquidity in the First Half of 2026, Led by «Jabal Omar» and «Umm al-Qura»

Shares of real estate development companies attracted investor interest in the Saudi Stock Exchange during the first half of 2026, driven by increased trading activity in a number of leading companies.
Data from the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) showed that millions of trades were executed on the sector’s stocks, with a value exceeding 28.5 billion riyals, amid a clear concentration of liquidity in a limited number of stocks, led by “Jabal Omar Development” and ”Umm Al-Qura Development and Construction,” which, along with two other companies, accounted for a significant portion of the cash flows directed toward the sector.

3.38 million transactions worth 28.5 billion riyals
Official data released by the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) revealed that 3,380,861 trades were executed on the shares of listed real estate development companies during the first half of 2026, during which 1,695,642,868 shares were traded, with a total value of 28.505 billion riyals.
These trades were distributed among 17 companies listed in the real estate development sector, with clear variations in trading values and volumes, depending on each company’s free-float and the level of investment activity in its shares.

«Jabal Omar» Leads in Liquidity and Trading Volume
Jabal Omar Development shares maintained their lead in the sector in terms of trading value, after attracting liquidity exceeding 7.71 billion riyals through 444,671 transactions, involving the trading of more than 498.3 million shares, making it the most actively traded stock in the sector during the first half of the year.
Umm Al-Qura Development and Construction shares came in second, with a trading value of approximately 3.98 billion riyals, through 378,942 transactions involving 237.3 million shares.

Red Sea International came in third with a trading value of 2.239 billion riyals, through 327,332 transactions, while Dar Al-Arkan Real Estate Development shares came in fourth with liquidity of 2.214 billion riyals, through 269,282 transactions.
These four companies alone accounted for the largest share of total trading volume in the real estate development sector, reflecting investors" focus on the sector’s leading stocks.

In the next tier of the most actively traded stocks, Retal Urban Development shares recorded a trading value of 1.875 billion riyals, through more than 333,000 transactions, during which approximately 144.9 million shares were traded.
Trading volume for Arab Centers shares reached approximately 1.733 billion riyals through 252,684 transactions, while Saudi Real Estate shares recorded trading volume of 1.685 billion riyals through 195,536 transactions.
As for Knowledge Economic City shares, the trading value reached 1.412 billion riyals through 174,953 transactions, while Makkah Construction and Development shares recorded a trading value of 1.292 billion riyals, despite only 167,464 trades and 15.3 million shares traded, reflecting a higher average share value relative to the number of shares traded.

Trading volumes approaching one billion riyals for a number of companies
The rest of the sector’s companies continued to record strong levels of activity, with trading value for Dar Al-Majidiyah Real Estate shares reaching approximately 912.5 million riyals across 204,939 transactions, involving more than 109.7 million shares.
Al-Ramz Real Estate shares recorded trading volume of 758.1 million riyals across 83,315 transactions, while trading value for Emaar Economic City shares reached approximately 730.5 million riyals across 159,539 transactions.

Taiba Investment shares also recorded trading worth 690.4 million riyals through 107,953 transactions, while trading volume for Riyadh Construction shares reached approximately 613 million riyals through 141,755 transactions.
As for Sumo Real Estate shares, they recorded trading worth 500.3 million riyals through 72,145 transactions.

»Al-Andalus« and »Banan" Have the Lowest Liquidity
At the other end of the spectrum, Al-Andalus Real Estate ranked among the companies with the lowest trading value during the first half of the year, after its shares recorded trading of only 91.3 million riyals through 33,597 transactions, involving the trading of approximately 5.9 million shares.
Banan Real Estate came in last on the list, with trading value of 65.8 million riyals across 33,205 transactions, involving more than 19.5 million shares.
