Riyadh Metro 33% complete and localization of jobs begins

Work on the Riyadh Metro Project (King Abdulaziz Project for Public Transportation in Riyadh - Train and Bus) has reached a major milestone as 33% of the actual work plan has been completed, and Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Development of Riyadh City and Chairman of the Supreme Committee supervising the implementation of the project, inspected the progress of work and sponsored the celebration of the completion of the drilling machine (Dhafra).

His Highness also inspected the launch site of the drilling machine »Jazla" next to Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Al-Malaz neighborhood on the orange track "Medina Road Axis", listened to an explanation about the equipment, equipment and modern technologies used in the tunnel work, and was briefed on the security and safety procedures in place in the project, and descended through a temporary elevator to the tunnel floor, which is 28 meters deep underground.

His Highness also inspected the launch site of the drilling machine "Jazla".

A brief film was shown about the journey of the "Zafra" machine, which completed its mission, thank God, in digging the southern part of the Green Track Tunnel with a length of 7280 meters, starting from the station located next to the air base roundabout, until the end of the track at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center station, penetrating six stations of the track, with a depth of 30 meters, of the total 12.9 km of tunnel that makes up the entire track.

A brief film was shown about the journey of the machine, which completed its mission with God's grace, in digging the southern part of the Green Track Tunnel.

An agreement has been signed with the Ministry of Labor to localize jobs in the project, whether in the construction or operation phase.
