The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center issued the performance report of service providers for June 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor performance indicators, enhance compliance, and improve the quality of infrastructure project implementation, thereby contributing to improved business efficiency and enhanced transparency with relevant stakeholders.
Infrastructure works permits
The report reviewed the issuance by the center of more than (18) thousand licenses for infrastructure works, including (9,877) active licenses under implementation, while the total number of licenses issued since the beginning of 2026 AD amounted to more than (100,000) licenses, within the framework of its efforts to regulate project works, and enhance compliance with the approved requirements and standards.
The length of roads occupied by infrastructure projects reached (796) kilometers, reflecting the continued implementation of development projects and supporting the development of road networks, services and infrastructure in the region.
During the month of June, the center received more than (8,000) reports, of which road subsidence reports constituted 33%, water accumulation reports 28%, and exposed covers reports 8%, while the percentage of other reports amounted to 31%. The total number of reports received since the beginning of 2026 exceeded more than (150) thousand reports, within the center’s efforts to follow up on reports and deal with them in coordination with service authorities.
A number of violations were detected
The report explained that the center’s field teams observed a number of issues at project sites, most notably the lack of cleanliness at the work site, dilapidated temporary barriers, and stockpiling outside the work area, which confirms the importance of continuing to raise the level of compliance, improve the quality of implementation, and maintain the safety of work sites.
The center affirmed that periodic performance reports serve as a reference for measuring the performance of service providers, enhancing monitoring efficiency, and providing operational indicators that support decision-making, thereby contributing to raising the quality of infrastructure projects, improving the urban landscape, and enhancing the quality of life in the Riyadh region.
