More than 37% residents of the Kingdom rely on bottled water from factories

In a new report by the General Authority for Statistics on the sources of drinking water relied upon by the Kingdom’s residents, the Authority found that the largest percentage of the Kingdom’s population—estimated at approximately 11.50 people— rely primarily on bottled water, which is equivalent to 37.21% of the Kingdom’s population of 30.77 million. In second place were those relying on well water, numbering nine million, representing 29.19% of the population. In third place were those relying on public water networks, at 24%, and in fourth place were those using water filters, at 7.65%, followed by wells in fifth place with a marginal share of 1.34%. A small percentage, 0.65%, relies on other sources, such as valleys, tributaries, or streams.
